Web-enabled applications involve adding a web interface to traditional applications that may have been created to run on Unix/Linux, Windows or mainframe platforms without the capability to be access via a web browser. Web-enabling an application is often done to broaden access to an old application.

Companies can use the Internet to connect to customers and business partners without unnecessarily abandoning useful existing systems. Web-enabling an application gives employees access to data on a global level. Brahma Ventures can accomplish this by using different methods.

Examples:

  • Provide browser access to an existing application like your order entry system with no changes to the application's current user-interface or logic
  • Develop a web-based application for users to access some of the legacy application's data and optionally provide some functionality similar to the legacy application.
  • Re-implement the legacy application as a web-based application. This can follow the business logic of the existing application very closely.
